Jerry and Heidi Lombardo moved their family to Glenwood Springs from San Diego in 1978 for the cleaner air and slower pace. Upon their arrival, they built Roaring Fork Waterbeds (you remember the glory days, right?), the only waterbed store in the valley. By 1982, they had started selling furniture, and by the late 80’s, they had changed the name of the store to Roaring Fork Furniture and never looked back.
Scott was born and raised here in the Roaring Fork Valley, and Nancy caught his attention after moving to Glenwood from California in high school. Not long after they married, they both started working for Nancy’s parents at Roaring Fork Waterbeds. They would eventually purchase the business in the mid-90’s, and the third generation has been brought into the fold, with Scott and Nancy’s youngest son Isaac, son-in-law Cody and daughter-in-law Kausha all working at the store.
